Windproof

This year’s collection includes several news that will match the weather report in more ways than ever. You can now feel comfortable during those warm summer evenings in a cozy, unlined sweater, or keep the drizzle out in a wool jacket with water-repellent details. Holebrook Originals are there to let you open your mind to the re-energizing effects that nature offers, no matter the weather.

Windproof sweater

Unlike a "normal sweater", our women's windproof sweaters have a lining made of fabric with a very dense weave, which makes it resistant to wind. The lining in our windproof garments is made from a composition of 96% polyester and 4% elastane. The elastane makes the fabric breathable and stretchy, which means that the garment does not hinder freedom of movement. It just stops the wind. This is the perfect sweater to wear on a walk, on a boat trip or during summer evenings.

A multi-functional garment

It's hard to tell from the outside whether a Holebrook women's knit sweater is windproof or not. The windproof sweaters are just as beautiful designed as a regular knitted sweater, but with the big advantage that they have a windproof lining inside. This means that women's windproof sweaters can be used as well as a functional garment when you are out in nature as an everyday garment or for a party. A classic knit windproof sweater for women works equally well to wear as a regular sweater, under a jacket as a mid layer or as a simple outer garment.

Large selection of windproof sweaters, vests and jackets for ladies

We offer a large selection of windproof garments for ladies. Choose between classic single-coloured sweaters or in several lovely colours, with or without a zip, with thumb holes or a hood. All windproof garments are of high quality and made to be used for many years to come.

How to stay dry and warm in the wind with ladies windproof jacket?

It's when the wind gets under your clothes that you get cold. A ladies windproof sweater or jacket keeps the wind out so you can feel comfortable and warm enough, whether you're out at sea, on a walk or on the ski slopes.

What is the material of the best windproof garments for women?

Holebrook offers ladies windproof sweaters and jackets in cotton and wool, both of which are natural materials. The best thing about cotton is that the material is easy to care for, cotton ventilates when you are warm and is a lasting and sustainable material. The best thing about windproof sweaters made of wool is that the material keeps you extra warm while helping you regulate your body heat. Wool is also self-cleaning and is a sustainable material.

How to care for a ladies wool windproof jacket to make it last for a long time?

Wool is self-cleaning, which means that it transports moisture away from the body, and therefore no bad odor settles in the garment. Instead, you can air your windproof sweater. Hang the sweater or jacket out overnight and let it air out properly, preferably in damp weather. Then the wool fibers regain their shape and the garment becomes fresh. It's no problem if your windproof shirt gets soiled so that you really have to wash the shirt. It is not at all difficult to wash wool, as many may think. Your windproof wool sweater can be washed in the wool program in the washing machine or by hand. It is important not to spin too hard, as this will damage the wool fibers in your windproof sweater or jacket. Always use special wool detergent, enzymes found in regular detergent can damage the wool in your windproof sweater. Remember to always read the washing instructions inside the garment before washing it. Don't forget to immediately treat the stain on your windproof sweater if the bad luck comes.

About Holebrook Sweden

Holebrook is a Swedish brand with a focus on knitted clothing. We were born on the Swedish west coast and our first collection was knitted sweaters with a windproof elastic lining. Today, more than twenty years later, they are still part of our collection. Sustainability is part of our DNA, it’s reflected in our business model and in our brand strategy. Our down-to-earth approach to sustainability is based on wool, cotton, mohair and alpaca. Natural materials that do not need to be washed as often, which prolongs the life of the garments and reduces their impact on the environment. Our clothes are timeless and made for the seasons, not the trends. All our clothes are made in Europe by suppliers who share our strive and commitment to quality and sustainability.
