MERINO WOOL

Our soft and high quality Merino wool is made from yarn produced by a spinning mill in Italy. The yarn is produced using a unique and innovative spinning process that produces a high quality, soft and durable yarn. Garments knitted with extra fine merino wool are soft, warm and very comfortable to wear.

CHARACTERISTICS OF MERINO WOOL

Merino wool comes from the merino sheep. The fibres are much thinner than our Nordic wool and when they come into contact with the skin, they will bend and therefore merino wool does not itch or sting. Merino wool also has unique temperature regulating properties and is often used in outdoor clothing. It breathes, transport moisture and heat away from the body when it's hot, and has the ability to retain heat when it's cold.

Wool is a self-cleaning material with natural antibacterial and odour-resistant properties. This means that woollen knitwear rarely needs washing. Airing the garment is usually enough to keep it fresh, prolonging its lifespan and reducing its impact on the environment.

WOOLMARK

Our wool yarn is certified by Woolmark, the world's most famous textile fibre label. It is a quality mark which means that the raw material has been subjected to rigorous testing and must meet high quality standards to be approved.

OUR GARMENTS IN EXTRA FINE MERINO WOOL

For several years we have been creating collections in extra fine merino wool. Timeless garments that return year after year. The colour range is classic and luxurious and the combinations are endless. The garments can last for decades if cared for properly.

About Holebrook Sweden

Holebrook is a Swedish brand with a focus on knitted clothing. We were born on the Swedish west coast and our first collection was knitted sweaters with a windproof elastic lining. Today, more than twenty years later, they are still part of our collection. Sustainability is part of our DNA, it’s reflected in our business model and in our brand strategy. Our down-to-earth approach to sustainability is based on wool, cotton, mohair and alpaca. Natural materials that do not need to be washed as often, which prolongs the life of the garments and reduces their impact on the environment. Our clothes are timeless and made for the seasons, not the trends. All our clothes are made in Europe by suppliers who share our strive and commitment to quality and sustainability.
