MOHAIR

Mohair is a wool fibre obtained from the Angora goat. The fibres are long, between one and three centimetres. In our garments we often use kid mohair, which, as the name suggests, is wool from goats that have been shorn for the first time. It is thin and soft. Mohair is a 'strong' fibre with a lot of shine and lustre.

MOHAIR - A LUXURIOUS MATERIAL

Mohair creates garments with a luxurious, fluffy feel. Airy and lightweight garments that still have the warming properties of wool. Mohair is often mixed with elastane and polyamide for a durable design and garment that retains its shape.

RMS – RESPONSIBLE MOHAIR STANDARD

Our kid mohair is RMS (Responsible Mohair Standard) certified. This is a certification that guarantees animal welfare, that the wool is handled correctly throughout the production process and that the animals' pastures are used in a sustainable way.

OUR MOHAIR GARMENTS

Our mohair sweaters are some of the most exclusive pieces in our collection. High quality, luxurious garments for everyday wear or for parties. We also create mohair accessories. A luxurious detail to add to your winter coat.

About Holebrook Sweden

Holebrook is a Swedish brand with a focus on knitted clothing. We were born on the Swedish west coast and our first collection was knitted sweaters with a windproof elastic lining. Today, more than twenty years later, they are still part of our collection. Sustainability is part of our DNA, it’s reflected in our business model and in our brand strategy. Our down-to-earth approach to sustainability is based on wool, cotton, mohair and alpaca. Natural materials that do not need to be washed as often, which prolongs the life of the garments and reduces their impact on the environment. Our clothes are timeless and made for the seasons, not the trends. All our clothes are made in Europe by suppliers who share our strive and commitment to quality and sustainability.
